Deepening Practice & Silent Meditation Retreat

May 22nd - May 26th, 2025

*Earlybird Deadline: March 31st, 2025*

Retreat Outline

This 4-night meditation retreat will deepen your practice through silent meditation, nourishing food, beautiful surroundings, and high-quality teacher support.

Upali combines Buddhist wisdom with modern perspectives to help cultivate deep meditative states and their integration. You'll meet and connect with fellow practitioners also pursuing depth in their practice.

An intended outcome is that you leave feeling refreshed and inspired with a deeper connection to yourself, your practice, and a meditative community.

What to Expect

The retreat will be held in Noble Silence, meaning that there’s very little talking, activity, or distraction. During the retreat, we will not use phones and the internet, and you will be able to maximize the amount of time each day that you spend meditating while at the same time participating in a community of practitioners and receiving support from teachers.

Dharma talks will be held in the evenings, and you will have daily access to the teachers. Vegetarian meals will be provided as part of the registration fee.

Additional dietary restrictions can be accommodated upon request. Lodging is also included in the registration fee, and costs vary by lodging option.

Kshanti Retreat Center is nestled in the picturesque Alta Garrotxa Nature Reserve, a stunning region of the Spanish Pre-Pyrenees renowned for its fresh air, lush forests, and rugged mountains. A charming, restored farmhouse (Les Gavatxes), surrounded by 56 hectares of land, serves as the tranquil retreat center where we will practice.

Tucked away in the forest, Les Gavatxes is a sanctuary for relaxation, meditation, and exploration.

Dana

The retreat is offered on Dana (a Pali word meaning generosity), which means the registration prices are at cost and don’t include the cost of the teachings.

Upali will teach on Dana to make the retreat accessible. You will be asked to give Dana at the end of the retreat, so please consider this as part of your attendance.
